A real blessing to be able to stay in such a nice palace, because that is what it is…A lovely palace

We had a very nice comfortable and enjoyable stay, the staff were very attentive and the ambience was wonderful.The facilities were good and a swim in the pool was really very pleasant with towels provided. The only negative aspect was there was no Wi-Fi in available in the rooms, one has to sit in the reception area to use the Wi-Fi, which is a nuisance as these days one is obliged to be online all the time to manage everything. Overall though we had a very pleasant stay, a pity it was only two nights, I would happily stay for longer.

Rooms were big and spacious. Loved the photographs and the history of the palace.

Toilets needed an upgrade. Mattress was really hard. Tough to get a good nights sleep.

not worth the money to be spent on heritage property

location

it is like paying for a heritage hotel but getting amenities like a budget hotel. booking.com stated balcony with rooms but property didnt have anything of the like at all. Staff does not know how to cater to guests, lots of arguments over prebooked rooms types, no training to the staff-inflexible staff , bad upkeep of rooms, torn upholstery ,dated beds, curtains were dirty, WC no pressure. washroom did not have enough water in winters. only reedemable quality was the restaurant and size of rooms. the property is under trust and really the staff needs to keep up with trends and not treat property like a dormitory if its being sold as a heritage property. staff was clueless about how booking.com worked and couldnt provide resolution for nless spoken with a contact number that was provided o nwebsite

Stay at the Lallgarh Palace

Its a nice property to visit with family, specially with young kids. Plenty of room for them to play around. It has an old world charm. The staff was very friendly and courteous. Loved the Rajasthani food they served in the restaurant. Overall, had a good time.

The front desk staff could have been more proactive during the check-in process. It took them a while to get us a room.

Not worth the price, most unwelcoming place around

The building is nice. The restaurant was ok and restaurant staff kind.

The worst experience in India! The person at reception (supposedly the manager) was extremely rude: he didn’t even say hello to us and simply asked us to pay! Price was higher than booking price (not a lot) and when I asked why he simply told me to refer back to Booking and refused to help/explain. We were tired so accepted the difference and asked for WiFi password before being sent to the room, to be told that we had to pay 50 rupees and it worked only in the lobby. As a fiery Italian I was starting to become pretty annoyed,so I voiced my disappointment by saying that the description in the booking clearly said that WiFi was available in the entire building. You could tell he just couldn’t care less about my complaint so we decided to deal with it later and headed to the room. Another surprise there! it was nothing like the “executive” room I had booked, ground floor,small,no balcony. At that point we decided to go back to reception and complain. I asked for internet pw to show them what my booking looked like but they refused to give it to me and asked for my phone to dial it in (crazy??), anyway I managed to show them the photos,the internet info and the price and they moved us to another room. A suite according to them. It was in actual facts similar to the photos and was close to the lobby so we had a tiny chance to catch the WiFi, we accepted it. The “suite” was not very clean nor well maintained, the highlights are in the photos. We slept in a “double bed” made of 2 single ones put next to each other, with single bed sheets (with a hole) crossed- I hadn’t seen anything like that not even in the grandma B&B. We also had dinner at the restaurant which was OK, not a a lot to chose from in the buffet - the smallest I have seen in India. Not a pleasant stay, definitely not worth the price paid. It’s a pity because the building is beautiful and could really be a lovely place.

stay here in the hotel for a night and indulge yourself in the royalty

this is an actual palace and also has the first firing range of India and at the same time the royal family is living in the palace. there is also a private railway station belonging to the royal family. the rooms are very large and my older brother got to stay in the room specially modified for Amitab Bachan. the staff is very kind and hospitable the manager gave us a tour of the private part of the palace as well

Had a memorable stay due to the extra-ordinary assistance from the check-in Reception Desk.

The room was so royal.

Size of the bath soap provided is not suited to the wall mounted soap tray in shower area. The soap would fall through large openings in the base of the tray if not placed carefully every time after use. A minor irritant.

Staff was least bothered about anything. Food was served cold. After mentioning it specifically, the staff was not even apologetic. Never seen such staff in the hospitality industry. Photos on Booking.com are also not real. The property courtyard was not at all maintained.

You can't call it luxury

The hospitality was good except for the one occasion where the cups were washed in the loo. Apart from that the team was helpful and very accommodating. The indoor pool.

The food was terrible. We felt short changed with that. Thank God I had not booked the breakfast. Our first day dinner was horrid we didn't have any meals in that hotel after that.

Wonderful

The property is amazing. I can tell you all that this is the best property ever visited in my entire life. Garden alone will take away 100 marks while room size and dining hall will take your eyes out like wowwwww

I think some Kanjoos Baniya or very greedy person is managing the property. When I asked to allow me more water bottles in room then I came to know that only 2 half liters water bottle is allowed and anything extra will be charged 100 per bottle. No such hoteliers will do such a bad treatment with room guests. I think the property owners are completely missing out and so only employees are running

Pleasant

Spacious bedroom and washroom. Shower area was separate (which is a rarity in India) but the shower area was leaking in one of our rooms so the entire washroom became wet anyways. Beautiful palace but it is not well kept and was dirty.

Extremely poor customer service! Person at the front desk did not even greet us (5 NRIs) on arrival. A group of caucasians that arrived soon after us were greeted with garlands etc..Manager at the front desk never had a smile on his face. Washrooms did not have an exhaust fan.

Living like a Maharaja!

- A great heritage property wherein the history is well documented and preserved. There are pictures all over the corridors of the property showcasing the watershed moments over the last 100 odd years. - Very genial staff and are quite helpful - Good wining and dining options available on the property itself. - It's right in the heart of the city very close to the Junagarh fort.

- Some of the amenities are not operational - swimming pool, gym - A walking tour around the property to explain its heritage would be amazing - Better communication skills as it receives a decent number of Foreign tourists - A brief cultural show that gives a glimpse of the Rajasthani culture can be accommodated as part of the experience

It was just pleasant but proprty or stay cannot be categorised to be of standards being maintained

The property is well maintained

Have to ask the staff again & again to provide drinking water bottles and toiletries, inspite of repeated requests, the staff didnt provide sufficient toiletries. Bathroom was not having any ventilation or exhaust to fire out bad odour. Buffet dinner & breakfast was not as per standard five star hotels
